Immune System – what does it do?

The overall function of the immune system is to prevent or limit infection. Our immune system plays an important role in defending our bodies from aggressive germs and other harmful substances that can make us susceptible to the common colds, the flu, and other serious illnesses.

Dietary and lifestyle habit changes can make all the difference in the world. Foods enriched with vitamins is a big plus. This article addresses what you can do to stay healthy.

A Healthy and Balanced Diet

A well-balanced and nutrient-rich diet is important as it can stave off pathogens. Hydration – Good for the Body and Your Skin

Water flushes out all the harmful toxins that build up in our systems. Those toxins can weaken the immune system. Water helps improve the flow of lymph (the fluid that carries key immune cells throughout the body).

In addition, water can keep your skin looking healthy. If your fingertips are wrinkled, it is a sign that you are in need of water. Don’t ignore it.

Practicing these lifestyle changes will ensure your immune system stays healthy.
